“He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also he has put eternity in a mans heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.” ~ Ecclesiastes 3:11 ~
Summer is halfway over. A few goals have already been met and maybe some new goals are starting to stir within you. As soon as you adapt to one change, another one is on the horizon. Are you willing to embrace it? Are you ready to take on new challenges?
Change is inevitable and unavoidable. Change can be challenging. It tests your strengths, identifies imbalances, and targets opportunities for growth. You may or may not choose the changes that happen in life, but you can grow through them. In the process of reaching for your goals, you experience change. If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you. Embrace change to stay strong physically, to flourish, and to thrive.
The same goes for your character. Change reveals the strengths and weaknesses of your character so we can bring your full self to The One Constant in our lives- our faithful, loving and consistent God. Can you trust Him with the changes you are wanting to make in your lifestyle, your health, your fitness? Will you faithfully commit your heart to obedience in your pursuit of whole person holiness?
Ecclesiastes 3:12 says, “I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and do good as long as they live.” This is something under all circumstances we can live by! No matter the changes you face in life, you can do it with smile in your heart aiming for the good in yourself and the good of others. Whatever you do, do it joyfully and thankfully knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain!
